Fear has been lying to you, and today we name it.
Psalm 27:1 says, "The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?"
David didn't write this from a place of comfort. He wrote it while surrounded by enemies. Yet his first instinct was not to catalog his threats. It was to declare who God is. Light. Salvation. Stronghold. When you anchor your identity in the character of God, fear loses its grip on your morning, your decisions, and your future.
Anxiety wants you to rehearse worst-case scenarios before your feet hit the floor. But God invites you to rehearse His faithfulness instead. Today, start your morning differently. Speak the truth about who God is before fear gets a word in.
What fear have you been giving too much power to this week?
