Your past doesn't define your destination, but your focus does.
Paul had every reason to stay stuck. A history of violence, pride, and religious arrogance sat heavy behind him. But he made a choice: forget what is behind, strain toward what is ahead.
Philippians 3:13-14 isn't a call to pretend the past didn't happen. It's a call to stop letting it have the final word. Shame wants to anchor you to who you were. God is calling you toward who you're becoming.
The press Paul talks about is active. It takes energy, intention, and surrender. You don't drift into your calling. You lean into it, one step at a time, with your eyes fixed on Jesus.
Yesterday's failures don't disqualify you. They don't get to vote on your future. God's call goes forward, and He's inviting you to go with it.
What's one thing from your past that you need to stop giving more power than your future deserves?
