The Altar

Your soul is dehydrated, and nothing in this world carries the water it needs.

Holy Thirst

"As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God."

— Psalm 42:1

Your soul is dehydrated, and nothing in this world carries the water it needs.

Psalm 42:1 says, "As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God."

That ache you feel? The restlessness, the emptiness that no playlist, no scroll, no relationship quite fills? That is not a malfunction. That is a holy thirst. It is your soul doing exactly what it was designed to do: reaching for the only Source that can satisfy it.

Spiritual dryness is not a sign your faith is failing. It is an invitation. The deer does not panic when it thirsts. It moves toward water. Let your dryness drive you deeper, not further away.

God is not hiding from you. He is waiting at the stream.

What if your emptiness today is actually pulling you closer to God?
