What if the thing breaking you is actually building you?
Romans 5:3 tells us something that cuts against every instinct we have: "We also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance."
Glory in suffering? That sounds impossible. But Paul isn't celebrating pain for the sake of pain. He's pointing to what pain produces. Fire doesn't destroy gold. It purifies it. And God isn't trying to break you. He's burning away everything that isn't the real you.
The trial you're walking through right now has a purpose. Not because God enjoys your pain, but because He refuses to leave you unchanged. Perseverance, character, hope. That's the progression. That's the process.
Stop asking "Why is this happening to me?" and start asking "What is God building in me?"
What season of difficulty are you starting to see differently today?
