Every act of generosity to the poor is a direct investment in God's portfolio.

Lending to God

"Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will reward them for what they have done."

— Proverbs 19:17 19:17

Every act of generosity toward the poor is a direct investment in God's portfolio. That's not a metaphor. That's Proverbs 19:17.

When you give to someone who has nothing to give back, God steps in as the one who owes you. He becomes the debtor. He becomes the rewarder. That's a covenant transaction, not a charity write-off.

Most of us treat generosity like a nice extra. Something we do when we have enough left over. But scripture flips that thinking completely. Giving to the poor isn't a drain on your resources. It's a deposit into the most secure account in existence.

God doesn't forget what you've done. He doesn't overlook a meal shared, a bill covered, or a stranger helped. Every act of kindness toward the vulnerable is seen, recorded, and rewarded by the One who owns everything.

Your generosity isn't leaving your hands. It's moving into His.

What would shift in your giving if you truly believed God was the one receiving it?
