Kingdom Building

Sowing In Famine

"Isaac planted crops in that land and the same year reaped a hundredfold, because the Lord blessed him."

— Genesis 26:12

Everyone waits for perfect conditions. Kingdom builders plant in the worst ones.

Genesis 26:12 tells us Isaac planted crops during a famine. Not after. Not when it was safe. During. And that same year, he reaped a hundredfold because the Lord blessed him.

Here is the kingdom principle: scarcity is not a signal to stop. It is an invitation to trust God at a deeper level. While everyone else was hoarding and hiding, Isaac was sowing. He put seed in dry ground and let God handle the harvest.

The same applies to your life. That business idea during a tough economy. That investment when the market looks shaky. That act of generosity when your own account feels thin. God does not need perfect conditions to produce extraordinary results. He needs your obedience and your willingness to plant.

What are you holding back from sowing because the conditions do not look right?
