Bold Truth

The most dangerous advice this generation ever received fits on a bumper sticker.

Follow Your Heart

"The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it?"

— Jeremiah 17:9

"Follow your heart" sounds beautiful until you realize Scripture calls that same heart deceitful above all things and desperately sick (Jeremiah 17:9). We've turned a bumper sticker into a belief system, and it's leading an entire generation away from the One who actually knows what's best. The world tells you to trust your feelings. God tells you to trust His Word. Your heart will lie to you. It will call toxic things comfortable, and it will label obedience as oppression. That doesn't mean your emotions don't matter. It means they were never meant to lead. They were meant to be led. Surrender your heart to the One who searches it, knows it, and can heal it. Stop following your heart and start following your God.
