Comfort-driven Christianity has muzzled the prophetic voice of the church. And we feel it.
Paul didn't tell Timothy to preach when it felt safe. He said be ready in season AND out of season. That means when people applaud and when they walk out. That means when the room agrees and when the room goes cold.
Speaking truth in love is not a personality type. It is a calling. 2 Timothy 4:1-2 makes it clear: this charge is given in the presence of God and Christ Jesus, the one who will judge. Not the crowd. Not the algorithm. Not the people in the room.
The question is not whether you are bold enough. The question is whether you trust God enough to say the hard thing with a soft heart.
That is the tension. That is the cost. That is the calling.
What hard truth have you been avoiding because you were afraid of how it would land?
