Bold Truth

We're told to chase the bag, but the Bible says it's chasing us that ruins everything.

Money Madness

"For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs."

— 1 Timothy 6:10 6:10

We're told to hustle harder, earn more, and chase the bag like it's the goal. But 1 Timothy 6:10 hits different: it's not money that's the problem. It's the love of it. Consumer culture is brilliant at turning ambition into obsession. It rebrands greed as drive, and before you know it, you're working for a life you don't have time to live. The bag isn't chasing you toward freedom. It's chasing you away from it. God isn't anti-money. He's anti-slavery. And the moment money becomes your master, you've already lost something far more valuable than your savings account. Your peace. Your faith. Your actual life. The good news is this: you can be ambitious and anchored. You can build wealth without being owned by it. But that requires an honest look at who's really on the throne of your financial life. So here's the question: Is your relationship with money driving you closer to God, or quietly pulling you away?
