The loudest critics in the room are usually the ones who have looked in the mirror the least.
Jesus didn't say "ignore the speck." He said handle your plank first. The order matters. Matthew 7:5 is not a call to silence. It is a call to sequence. Accountability before accusation. Confession before correction.
The world is not rejecting Jesus. In many cases, the world is rejecting the hypocrisy it sees in people who claim to follow Him. When we point fingers without examining our own hearts, we lose credibility. But when we lead with humility, with honest self-examination, with repentance that is visible and real, our words carry an authority that arguments never could.
Humility is not weakness. It is the most powerful apologetic the Church has.
Before you correct the culture, ask yourself: have I corrected myself?
