You are the light of the world. Not a flashlight you only turn on at home. Not a candle you hide under comfort and convenience. Jesus didn't say "You are the light of your living room." He said the world. So why do so many of us shrink back? We soften our convictions in mixed company. We scroll past opportunities to speak life because we don't want to make things awkward. But here's the truth: silence is not humility. Sometimes silence is fear wearing a humble mask. Matthew 5:14 is not a suggestion. It is a declaration of who you already are. Light doesn't apologize for shining. It just shines. The world is not asking you to be louder. It is asking you to be real. And real faith refuses to stay hidden. So let me ask you this: where in your life have you been dimming your light to keep the peace?
You cannot be salt and light if you keep your faith locked in a private journal.
