It looked like wisdom. It felt like progress. It was a trap.
Proverbs 14:12 warns us plainly: "There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death."
We live in a culture overflowing with motivational quotes, self-help mantras, and feel-good philosophies. Some of it sounds close to truth. But close to truth is not truth. A path can feel empowering and still lead you away from God. A message can sound inspiring and still be missing the cross.
The danger is not always obvious deception. Sometimes the most dangerous shortcuts come dressed in wisdom. They tell you to trust yourself, believe in your own power, and manifest your future. But Scripture calls us to trust in the Lord with all our heart, not lean on our own understanding.
Stop measuring truth by how it makes you feel. Measure it by whether it aligns with the Word of God.
