We've normalized anxiety so deeply that we've forgotten something important: God never designed us to live in constant fear. 2 Timothy 1:7 says God gave us a spirit of power, love, and self-control. Not a spirit of dread. Not a spirit of panic. This isn't about dismissing real mental health struggles. It's about refusing to let anxiety become your identity when God already gave you a different one. The modern anxiety epidemic isn't just a trend. It's a spiritual crisis dressed in clinical language. Yes, seek help. Yes, pursue counseling. But also ask the harder question: have you surrendered your fear to the One who conquered death itself? Compassion and truth aren't opposites. They walk together. And the truth is, you were given power for this moment. Not avoidance. Not numbing. Power. So here's the question: are you managing your anxiety or has your anxiety started managing you?
We medicate what God meant for us to confront.
