Bold Truth

The enemy's best strategy isn't temptation — it's distraction.

Spiritual Vigilance

"Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour."

— 1 Peter 5:8

The enemy doesn't always show up with obvious temptation. Sometimes he shows up as another hour of scrolling, another binge session, another notification pulling you away from the still, small voice of God.

1 Peter 5:8 says, "Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour."

A lion doesn't roar before it attacks — it stalks. And distraction is one of the quietest, most effective forms of spiritual warfare being waged against believers right now. Doomscrolling isn't rest. Endless entertainment isn't peace. Information overload isn't wisdom.

The enemy doesn't need you to fall into dramatic sin. He just needs you numb. Checked out. Too overstimulated to pray. Too distracted to hear God.

Spiritual vigilance starts with recognizing the war being waged for your attention.
