Burnout isn't a badge of honor — it's a sign you've been carrying what God never asked you to hold.
We've turned exhaustion into evidence of faithfulness. We wear our tiredness like trophies and call it "grinding for God." But Jesus never said "Come to me, all you who are productive." He said come to me, all you who are weary (Matthew 11:28).
Rest isn't laziness. It's resistance against a world that measures your worth by your output. God built rest into the rhythm of creation itself — He didn't need to rest on the seventh day. He modeled it because He knew we would forget.
Biblical rest is radical faith. It says: God, I trust You enough to stop. I trust that the world won't collapse if I put it down. I trust that my value isn't tied to my hustle.
So put it down. Whatever you've been white-knuckling — lay it at His feet.
What would change in your life if you stopped treating rest as something you have to earn?
