Let's be honest — most of us have been trained to manage how people feel about us. We edit ourselves. We soften our convictions. We stay quiet when God told us to speak. But Paul asked a piercing question in Galatians 1:10: "Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God?" That's not a rhetorical question. That's a mirror. People-pleasing isn't kindness — it's fear dressed up as love. And it will cost you your calling. Every time you choose applause over obedience, you trade what's eternal for what's temporary. God didn't call you to be palatable. He called you to be faithful. Faithful when it's uncomfortable. Faithful when it costs you followers. Faithful when the Christ-centered answer isn't the crowd-approved one. You were never meant to perform for people. You were meant to serve the living God. So here's today's question: What conviction have you been softening because you're afraid of how people will respond? 👇
You're not called to be likeable. You're called to be faithful.
Approval Addiction
"Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ."
— Galatians 1:10
